Playwrights/Composers

Jackie Frost Halversen and I have written, LEGACY, a musical play based on an article I wrote for The Ensign many years ago--What to Do with Adversity. I wrote the play and text for all the music, and Jackie composed the music and arranged it for solos, duets, choir, piano, cello, and synthesizer. There are 10 songs and a reprise.
My stake produced it in April 2024 with some 1500+ in attendance at four showings. It was exceptionally impacting, even life-changing, for many people—viewers and performers alike.
We are making everything available for non-commercial use at no charge and would be interested in views/help in maybe getting it commercially available. Please see HERE for specific details regarding the production including music, script, etc., etc. There is also a link there to a YouTube video of the entire production. I look forward to getting input. Thanks!! 😊
What a tremendous labour of faith, love and testimony you've accomplished here!
At this time, we are in the gathering phase of our project. We are not yet ready to launch the deeply collaborative community that will be coming down the pike when we've gathered enough people with the needed vision and expertise. The commercial licensing aspect of our project will come later, after we have worked together to hone our original Broadway-style musicals to world class.
At this time, you might try checking in with Doug Pew, a world-class composer, teacher and business coach. If you and Jackie want to hone your work, he offers a variety of affordable courses that will help. He and Daniel Blomberg offer a business course for creatives that can also help you to market your work. I can send you his contact information. Hope this is helpful.
